China Stock Market Rebounds 4 March 31, 2008

China Stock Market Rebounds 4.9 Percent.
Chinese stocks rebounded Friday from the previous day”s plunge on rumors of possible government moves to support the market.

The Shanghai Composite Index gained 168.65 points, or 4.9 percent, to 3,580.14. The smaller Shenzhen Composite Index rose 3.1 percent to 1,139.73.
